Description: From 1930 to 1954, René Magritte and his spouse inhabited this house, which is today a museum. The painter used to rent the ground floor and its interior has been recreated with original furniture. This house was also the headquarters of Belgian surrealists. Magritte has created there practically half of his works. The life of the painter is recounted on the first and second floors with pictures, letters, documents and personal objects. The museum also presents some paintings, original aquarelles and drawings, as well as the famous pipe. An area puts the emphasis on Belgian surrealism and on its actors.
