Description: Founded by Michel Wittock, the Bibliotheca Wittockiana is both a "book museum" because of its permanent collections, and a contemporary architectural "monument". But it is also a "library" and a "precious reserve collection". Its thematic temporary exhibitions illustrate different aspects of bibliophily. The museum possesses remarkable collections of bookbindings from the 16th to the 20th century, and autograph letters of artists and Belgian and French writers of the end of the 19th century. About 500 rattles - from the Idès Cammaert donation - of the second millennium B.C. until today can also be admired.
