Collection: Comic strip museum in an Art Nouveau decor by Victor Horta
Description: As the paradise of the Ninth Art, Belgium was bound to dedicate a temple to the comic strip. It is located in a beautiful Art Nouveau building designed in the early 20th century by the great architect Victor Horta. You have already guessed that this place deserves a visit, as much for its content and its fascinating exhibitions as to marvel at this edifice. The ground floor honours both the architect and his time, the late 19th-early 20th century, which also coincides with the very first attempts at comic strip drawing.
Over 4,000m2 of exhibition space provide a comprehensive view of the history of comics, from their origins to the present day. Different areas follow each other, taking visitors from one discovery to the next. Temporary exhibitions devoted to a particular artist, trend, topic or one of the many comics heroes can be found on the first floor, attracting comic aficionados from around the world due to the high level of quality of such displays.
